About The Founder
Bryan was born in McKinney, Texas and lived the first 10 years of his life in Frisco, TX. He later moved to Denton, Tx. where he graduated high school. Bryan attended the University of North Texas and graduated with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management.
After a career in another business, Bryan joined his father in the used construction equipment business in 2000. The equipment business was not exactly new to him as his grandfather, Clyde Waddle, was the first John Deere dealer in Collin County. Upon his death in 1965, his father Pat, became a salesman with a road machinery company in Dallas, Texas. His customer base consisted of asphalt paving, concrete, and other aggregate contractors and covered 15 counties west of Dallas/Fort Worth. As young boy, Bryan spent summers traveling with his father throughout this territory learning to talk to people with these trips becoming his first lessons in sales and marketing. In 1972, his father opened Dentex Ford Tractor where Bryan grew up working from setting up equipment to sweeping the floors and working the parts counter. In high school, needing to get experience outside the family business, Bryan was helper working for Dr. Pepper delivering the beverage to all types of business.
When Bryan joined his father's business, he did not have a customer base. Being new to the business and having a family to support, he needed to find a way. So, Bryan recruited his 14 year old nephew who was a computer whiz to build a website for selling used construction equipment. They used a program called Frontpage and spent the Thanksgiving holidays in 2000 designing and building it. The day after Christmas, a customer drove in from Georgia and bought a trailer load of equipment.
